You'll love this small-batch, sugar-free spiced apple butter recipe that can be made with or without a food mill. Use bright red apples to create pink apple butter!

Ingredients: - apples - water - lemon juice  - lemon zest - vanilla extract - spices and salt

Cut the apples into quarters or eights, depending on their size.

Cook the apples for 20 to 30 minutes, stirring occasionally. until the apples are soft and falling apart.

Transfer to a food mill to process or use an immersion blendar.

Add lemon juice and lemon zest to the pureed apples.

Transfer to pan and cook until you will no longer see the liquid seeping out of the apple puree. Add spices and enjoy!
