This sweet bread recipe for hot cross buns uses quick-rise instant yeast eliminating the need for proofing and the first rise.

Combine milk, water, and butter in a medium saucepan. Heat on medium heat until the butter starts to melt. Set aside.

Dry Ingredients: – Flour – Sugar – Quick-rise instant yeast – Salt – Ground cinnamon – Ground nutmeg – Ground cloves – Orange zest

In the large bowl of a stand mixer, whisk together the dry ingredients. Add the warm liquids; with the dough hook, knead for 10-15 seconds.

Add 2 lightly beaten room temperature eggs and knead for approximately 4-5 minutes or until the dough is smooth and elastic. Add the dried cranberries.

Divide it by 24 in order to create equal-sized pieces of dough.

Let them sit in a draft-free and warm place for about 35-40 minutes or until doubled in volume. Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes and enjoy!
