How to Make Italian Pastry Cream

Here's what you need:

-milk -lemon peel -eggs -sugar -cornstarch -salt -butter

In a saucepan, over medium heat, combine the milk and lemon peel.


Add the rest of the ingredients and whisk continuously for 5 minutes until mixture becomes pale.


Transfer mixture to a saucepan and whisk continuously for 5 minutes. Whisk in the butter.


Place a piece of plastic film touching the surface of the cream. Refrigerate until ready to use.
